The upholsterers that my parents use, Kessels, now build environmentally-friendly chairs, sofas and ottomans right here in Ottawa. They call this line “Kessels Barneveld Collection.” To make these items they use only unbleached organic cotton, cotton wrapped steel coil springs, non-off-gassing shellac and kiln dried hardwoods. While they are aiming this line at environmentally-sensitive consumers, they would be suitable for anyone who cares about the environment and their health.
