Some locally-written environment blogs worth checking out:
Virtual Nonsense: Ottawa resident Paul Renaud posts on green-related and other topics. He’s a member of the Coalition to Protect the South March Highlands and his recent posts discuss the situation there. His site also has a useful list of environmental organisations.
Momentum magazine carries a blog by Ottawa writer Kathleen Wilker on family biking. Lots of good tips about biking with families and kids, as well as on other winter-appropriate forms of locomotion.
The Mindful Merchant is an Ottawa-based and “planet-conscious” blog about healthy living, green ideas and environmentally friendly products.

We have recently (last fall) started a site dealing with plastic pollution, with a local focus. Through the site we’re currently promoting a petition on plastic packaging of Ontario fruit, as well as putting up tips on how to live, eat and buy with less plastic, and links, research, and information on the issue. We’re at http://www.noplasticproject.ca and our petition is at http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/stop-packaging-local-fruit-in-plastic.html
Thanks for sharing information!
